Byron Entertainment Centre's Opening Extravaganza
Byron Entertainment Centre, Big Top Cafe and Circus Arts Australia have officially opened their doors to the public!
On Saturday the 20th of May, Byron locals as well as people from as far as Sydney flocked in, at 4pm the BBQ was
running, the first circus performers were getting ready and the crowds had begun!
The night was greatly enjoyable, with acts from Circus Arts own performing on Double Trapeze and Silks, fantastic guest
performances by the likes of Space Cowboy, mindbending the crowd with his logic defying sword swallowing and
thought reading, an amazing handbalancing act by Marcos and Mitch, a phenomenal web display by Zoe, halarious
Hoola Hoops by Suzie and the Byron School of Dance showed off some of their young local talent, all the while the kids
were absolutely piling up for a turn on the Flying Trapeze.

| DANCE GRAND PRIX ITALIA 2007 from 21th to 25th JUNE 2007 On the Adriatic Coast - Emilia Romagna - ITALY Dance Grand Prix ITALIA 2007 7° Edition Dear Directors and/or Principals, We are pleased to invite you and your best dance students to participate at the thrid edition of the "Dance Grand Prix Italia" which will be held from June 21th through June 25th 2007 in Italy. After the great success in the 2005 edition we are honoured and to welcome you in the best Italian old wood stage theatre ! About 1100 dancers from the five continent had dance and compete in the big Italian dance event in the 2006! The main focus will be Dance - Classical, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Funky, Folk and all of the various interpretations of Dance Theatre Laboratories. Theatre space will be given to Schools and Dance Departements where students and guest artists will dispay one or more pieces of a performance or review which will compete for prizes in the various categories of the "Dance Grand Prix Italia 2007". The Opening Ceremony - Show will be held in the Theatre which is considered one of the most beautiful ancient theatres in Europe. All of the festival participants and the great international guests will perform that evening for notable experts from the world of culture and show business and press and media representatives. The international Jury will welcome the artists, dancers and all of the participants to this international event. The Award Career Prize will also be awarded that evening to an outstanding figure in international dance. The closing ceremony and awarding of the " Dance Grand Prix Italia 2007" will be held on June 24th at the Theatre . Enclosed you will find the program and participation costs as well as descriptions of the prestigious theatres in which the dance evenings will be held, the Hotels where participants are lodged and finally, the restaurants where every representative of each performance will receive a final applause. We are certain of providing an unforgettable experience in the magic of Europe and we are at your disposal for additional general information and specific information on the norms and modalities which guide the more technical aspect of the festival: length of pieces and their artistic character, etc...
